Numark TT1600 Belt Drive Replacement

Description: Make sure device is unplugged.

Steps:

1. Remove slip mat from top of the platter.

2. Remove platter by inserting thumbs in holes and slowly pulling up.
3. There will be some initial resistance.

4. Remove damaged belt which will be located below the platter.

5. Install new belt by securing it around the inner ring, located on the back of the platter.

6. Place a thumb in each hole.
7. You should be able to feel the rubber belt.
8. Gently pull the belt with each thumb, keeping the belt taut around the inner ring.

9. Secure platter back on turntable while keeping belt taut.
10. Pull belt around motor spindle.
11. Gently let go of belt.

12. Test turntable by spinning the platter.
13. There should be slight tension causing the platter to come to a stop.
