Steps:

  1. Firstly open the lid of the kettle by pressing the button and manually pulling up the lid.

  2. Secondly detach the lid . To do so pull back the lid to access the two screws visible in the image. Using a screwdriver unscrew the screws.
  3. Using force unlock the snap fit to remove this component. A screwdriver may be needed to complete this.

  4. To access the springs unscrew the 2 screws.
  5. Using a flat head screwdriver lift up the component and remove it from assembly.

  6. Remove the springs, a scribe may be needed to assist in this.
