Steps:
- Lift the glass container of the motor
- The motor is the bottom part of the blender
- If your blender has recently been used, you may want to clean it before taking it apart
- Unscrew the base from the glass container. The right direction is indicated by the red arrow.
- The base is the part whereon the blades are attached
- Lift metal blades with the metal hood out of the base
- Watch out for sharp blades or wear gloves
- Large rubber ring may fall out of the base, this is no problem, just put it back in place
- Take the cutting blades in one hand and the black, plastic connector part in the other
- This is where you could use the gloves
- Unscrew the latter together with the screw-nut from the axis by twisting
- If necessary, apply a little force to slightly pull it out
- To unscrew, you have to twist right. The “righty tighty, lefty loosy-principle” does not apply here
- Gently slide off the hood and lower, small metal protective ring from the axis and don’t lose the rubber ring!
- Slide the broken ring off the axis
- Replace the broken ring for a new one
- Slide the remaining parts back on the axis in the following order:
- Metal hood
- Small metal protective ring
- Black plastic connector
- Screw back the screw-nut on the thread with the pliers to fasten the assembly
- Put the blade-assembly back in the base
- Twist the base back onto the glass container
- Put the glass container on the stand (bottom part of the blender, containing the motor)
- Start making your smoothie!
