Steps:

1. Remove the battery from the laptop.

2. Move the switch in the battery compartment.

3. Carefully flip up the keyboard panel.
4. Don't pull far on the keyboard. It will still be connected to the laptop via ribbon cables.

5. Lift the retaining flap on the keyboard cable ZIF connector.
6. Carefully pull the ribbon cable from its socket on the motherboard.
