Steps:

1. Loosen the eight retaining screws on the base of the computer with a small Phillips screwdriver.
2. The screws have retaining washers to hold them in place, so you don't have to remove them from the base plate.
3. Remove the bottom cover from the laptop.

4. Ensure your Dell Alienware M11x R3 is turned off and disconnected from any power source. Close the lid and flip the laptop over to access the bottom panel.

5. Caution: Ensure computer is completely powered down before attempting to remove the lower case of the computer.
