Steps:

  1. With plastic spudger wedge in between the top and bottom casings to force sepearation . Exposing the inside components of the Republic Deck.

  2. Use the screwdriver to unscrew 2 3.63mm Phillips #0 screws securing the plastic plate.

  3. Unplug the ribbon cable from the port.

  4. Unscrew 5 3.63 mm Phillips #0 screws securing the circuit board.

  5. Unscrew 15 6.15 mm Phillips #0 screws and lift the black plastic plate from the case.

  6. Remove 4 3.63 mm Phillips #0 screws holding the bracket.
    7. Step image
  7. Use the hairdryer to soften the glue holding the speaker to the plastic plate.
    8. Step image
  8. Gently pull up on the speaker.
