Steps:

  1. Disconnect any power source and/or turn off device.

  3. Remove the 15 rubber plugs from the cavities using needle nose pliers.

  5. Use a phillips head screwdriver to remove the fifteen 6.4mm screws.

  7. Carefully separate the two sections of the frame.
  8. Wires still connect the two sections. Be cautious to avoid damaging the wires, terminals, and electronics.

  10. Disconnect the wiring to improve accessibility to the battery.

  12. Remove the two screws that hold that bracket, securing the battery in place.

  14. Disconnect the wires that hold the batteries down to the motherboard.

  16. Pry the battery from the frame using your hands or an opening pick.
  17. Step image
  18. When removing and installing the battery, be cautious to not damage any of the surrounding electronics.
