Steps:

1. Flip the laptop so the battery is facing upwards.
2. Push the battery release tabs toward the center of the device.
3. Remove the battery.

4. Remove the two countersunk keyboard screws using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.

5. Lift up the keyboard using your fingers or a plastic opening tool.
6. Potential for device damage: Do not tear the ribbon cable hidden behind the keyboard.
7. Disconnect the cable by sliding the connector ears outward.

8. After removing the keyboard, use the plastic opening tool or other form of leverage to remove the rest of the silver casing.
9. Depending on your model, there could still be some hidden screws on the bottom case of the laptop that hold the palm-rest in place.

10. Use a plastic tool to carefully pry the silver portion front of the top away from the colored portion.

11. Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the two small screws at the bottom corners of the speaker assembly.
12. Keep track of where you put the screws after you remove them. Keep screws of the same size together and away from screws of different sizes.

13. Slide out the cables connected to the speakers and the base below the keyboard.
14. Remove the speakers from the laptop.
