Steps:

1. Make sure the phone is powered off before removing the trackball.
2. Gently use the Small Flathead Screwdriver or plastic opening tool to go under the chrome ring surrounding the trackball.
3. Pry the chrome ring upwards with the tool until it begins to lift up.
4. Once it begins to lift up, gently remove the chrome ring from around the trackball.
5. When re-assembling the phone, be sure to orient the chrome ring so that the missing tab is at the top.

6. After removing the chrome ring, slowly lift up the remaining piece with tweezers.
7. Slowly remove the small plastic bottom using the Plastic Opener tool. Be careful not to bend the metal frame when removing the bottom plastic piece.
8. Using your hands, remove the white plastic piece, revealing the small metal frame, the scroll wheels, and the trackball.

9. Slowly remove the trackball, being cautious not to scratch the ball or the scroll wheels.
10. Using a soft cloth, carefully remove any dust around the scroll wheels or the trackball itself.
11. While the trackball is removed, you may clean the sensor in the hole where the trackball is usually located.
