Steps:

  1. Make sure your Palm Pre is turned off before disassembling the phone.
  2. Snap off the back panel to reveal the battery.

  3. Carefully pull up on the tab to remove the current battery.

  4. Locate the volume cavity on the right of the back frame.
  5. Take your new volume button and slide in into the slot until the opposite end clicks.
  6. You will have to use some force to do so.
