Steps:

  1. Sand down the damaged area of the trim using the block sanding sponge to make a smooth surface.
  2. Step image
  3. Wipe off the excess dust from sanding with a wash cloth.
  4. Step image
  5. Apply Dap drydex spackling to to the damaged area of the trim using a 1" plastic putty knife.
  6. Allow the spackling to dry per the directions on the label.

  8. Use the block sanding sponge to smooth out the surface of the trim to match the crevices of the trim.
  9. Step image
  10. Wipe off the excess dust from sanding with a wash cloth.
  11. Step image
  12. Tape the edges around the damaged area of the trim with masking tape.

  14. Paint the trim to match the original color.
  15. Allow the paint to dry before removing the tape.
