Steps:

1. The air filter housing is located under the hood of the BMW.

2. Remove two bolts from the housing of the car using a 10mm socket bit and wrench.

3. Unscrew the screw on the air intake hose clamp using a flathead screwdriver.
4. Unclip the mass air intake sensor from the housing using a flathead screwdriver and pushing up on the tab while also pulling out the sensor.

5. Remove the air intake duct by using a flathead screwdriver and prying them apart.

6. Take out the air filter housing on a flat surface.

7. Use a T25 torx screwdriver to unscrew the 6 screws holding the air filter housing together.

8. Remove the old, yellow air filter pictured on the left using your hands and dispose of it into the garbage.

9. Insert new air filter into its housing and put the housing back into the car.
10. Remember to plug the mass air sensor back into the housing.
