Steps:

  1. Place laptop upside down.

  2. Remove the twelve 5mm screws with a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

  3. Lift cover upwards away from you.

  4. Unscrew the three screws with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
    5. Step image
  5. Use either your hands or the tweezers to gently peel back the tape.
    6. Step image
  6. Do not pull anything by the wires.
  7. Use the tweezers to gently pull the small black plug out.
  8. After the plug is out, you should be able to pull the fan assembly out.
