Sony MDR-ZX770BN, enlarge jack connection
ID: 117845
Description:
Steps:
- The Sony MDR-ZX70BN is a good headphone in itself. Only the narrow jack connection is a "no go"
- Carefully pull off the auricle.
- Loosen a total of 6 screws. Small Phillips screwdriver. The screws can be placed on the speaker magnet. That way you don't lose ;-)
- Caution! When you open the speaker hangs on 2 thin cables.
- If you can solder, these can be separated. Makes it easier to continue working. The dark red is the + Will probably come off anyway.
- On the other side, carefully lift the lid. Is clipped.
- The Bluetooth antenna and a screw underneath appear.
- No need to remove the cable, just remove the adhesive to show.
- The small screw must be loosened so that the rest of the cover comes off.
- The inner workings. Loosen the small screw to remove the circuit board.
- I have disconnected the cable from the speaker because otherwise everything will be too fiddly.
- Push the clips in the 3rd picture slightly to the side and the blue ring will come off.
- Remove the ring and everything is free.
- Lever out the microphone upwards with a narrow but not pointed object.
- Lift the entire circuit board slightly and pull it backwards.
- Lift the circuit board and place some foam or something similar underneath.
- Now make the hole larger with a 6mm drill.
- File smooth with a round file.
- Test with jack plug. The plug itself should also fit in and not just the bare jack.
- If fits! Put everything back together in reverse order.
- If necessary, re-solder the cables.
