Steps:

  1. Run the engine for a few (~5) minutes, then turn it off.
  2. This allows the oil to drain easier.
  3. Do not work on the car while the engine is running.

  5. Take off the oil cap from under the hood of the car.

  7. Place the oil drain pan underneath the drainage bolt.

  9. Remove the drainage bolt using the 15mm wrench.

  11. Allow the oil to drain into the oil drain pan.
  12. This may take several minutes.

  14. Remove the old oil filter with the oil filter wrench once the oil has completely drained.

  16. Put a thin film of oil around the edge of the new oil filter.
  17. This allows for a better seal once the new filter is attached.

  19. Attach the new oil filter using the oil filter wrench.

  21. Reattach the drainage bolt with the 15mm wrench.

  23. Place the funnel into where you removed the oil cap and pour in approximately four (4) quarts of oil.

  25. Check the dipstick and ensure that the fill level is between the two holes. Add more oil if needed.
