ID: 132720
Description: In this guide, I will demonstrate how to...
Steps:
- Run the engine for a few (~5) minutes, then turn it off.
- This allows the oil to drain easier.
- Do not work on the car while the engine is running.
- Take off the oil cap from under the hood of the car.
- Place the oil drain pan underneath the drainage bolt.
- Remove the drainage bolt using the 15mm wrench.
- Allow the oil to drain into the oil drain pan.
- This may take several minutes.
- Remove the old oil filter with the oil filter wrench once the oil has completely drained.
- Put a thin film of oil around the edge of the new oil filter.
- This allows for a better seal once the new filter is attached.
- Attach the new oil filter using the oil filter wrench.
- Reattach the drainage bolt with the 15mm wrench.
- Place the funnel into where you removed the oil cap and pour in approximately four (4) quarts of oil.
- Check the dipstick and ensure that the fill level is between the two holes. Add more oil if needed.
