Steps:

1. Place the clock face down.
2. Remove the battery.

3. Turn the brown gear clockwise until both the minute and hour hands align.

4. Use a pair of pliers to pull out the cap.

5. Pull out the minute hand using your fingers.

6. Pull out the hour hand using your fingers.

7. Find the two ridges on the washer.
8. Use a pair of pliers to screw the washer out with a counter clockwise motion.
9. Use your fingers to remove the washer.

10. Take out the clock movement mechanism and replace it.
