Steps:

1. Separate screen casing using a nylon spudger and a metal spudger.

2. Peel the tape back.
3. Lift the red bar laying across the connection with the spudger.
4. Pull the connection out.

5. Disconnect the two cords shown by gently pulling them apart near their connection point.

6. Detach the connection by gently pulling on it.

7. Unravel the cord from around the screen and lift up on the screen to remove.

8. Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove all twelve 6 mm screws in the bottom panel of the Chromebook.

9. Use an opening tool to pry open the Chromebook casing starting from the corners.

10. Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the 6 mm hinge screws on the right side of the Chromebook.

11. Disconnect the end of LCD cable that is connected to the motherboard. Lift the connector's ZIF tab and gently pull the ribbon cable free.
12. Disconnect the other end of the LCD cord from the left side of the motherboard.

13. The LCD cable has been disconnected and can be removed by guiding it out of the hooks that keeps it in placed.
