Steps:

1. Take a coin and wedge it between both halves of the key fob where the keychain notch is. Push against the indent until the fob begins to lift open.
2. Take care not to lose the buttons, as they may fall out.

3. Look for the notch where it says “use coin to open." Push against the indent with your coin to separate the pieces.
4. Remove the middle console.

5. Use your fingernail to pry around the battery until it pops out.
6. When inserting the new battery, make sure that the positive side is facing up.
