Steps:

  1. Remove the two M2.0 × 5.0 Phillips screws along the bottom of the cover.
  2. Remove the four Phillips M2.5 × 6.5 screws under the rubber foot pads.
  3. The rubber pads have adhesive that allows them to be restuck after being lifted. You do not need to completely remove them, only partially.

  5. Use an opening tool to pry open the bottom case, starting from the hinge.
  6. Follow along the edge and use the opening tool to lever it open.
  7. Recommended to start from the hinge as it will be easier, but it is possible to start anywhere.

  9. Remove the six Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screws holding the battery in place.
  10. Lift the battery slightly and pull it to disconnect it from the connector on the motherboard.

  12. Finally, remove the Phillips M2.0 × 2.5 screw that secures the SSD to the motherboard.
  13. Grasp the SSD by the edges and gently pull it out from its slot.
  14. After removing the screw, the SSD will partially lift itself. Make note of the angle. When installing your new SSD be sure to insert it at the same angle.
