Steps:
- Flip the mouse upside down and remove the mouse skates to expose the screws.
- Mouse skates are glued onto the mice and can be removed easily.
- Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the four 0.5 mm screws from the bottom of the mouse.
- Open the mouse.
- Do not disconnect the top part of the mouse from the motherboard.
- Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the three 0.5 mm screws from the motherboard to expose the cable.
- Remove the cable from the 5-pin connector located on the motherboard.
- Insert the new cable into the 5-pin connector.
- When inserting the cable, DO NOT pull the wires. Handle the cable by holding the connector.
- Place the cable under the motherboard.
- The cable comes with a piece of plastic that helps us place the cable in the right position. Place the plastic piece in the front opening of the mouse.
- Using the three Phillips #0 0.5mm screws, screw the motherboard back in place
- Connect the top and bottom pieces of the mouse and using the four Phillips #0 0.5mm screws, screw them back in place.
- Reapply the mouse skates.
