Steps:

  1. Flip the mouse upside down and remove the mouse skates to expose the screws.
  2. Mouse skates are glued onto the mice and can be removed easily.

  4. Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the four 0.5 mm screws from the bottom of the mouse.

  6. Open the mouse.
  7. Do not disconnect the top part of the mouse from the motherboard.

  9. Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the three 0.5 mm screws from the motherboard to expose the cable.

  11. Remove the cable from the 5-pin connector located on the motherboard.

  13. Insert the new cable into the 5-pin connector.
  14. When inserting the cable, DO NOT pull the wires. Handle the cable by holding the connector.

  16. Place the cable under the motherboard.
  17. The cable comes with a piece of plastic that helps us place the cable in the right position. Place the plastic piece in the front opening of the mouse.

  19. Using the three Phillips #0 0.5mm screws, screw the motherboard back in place

  21. Connect the top and bottom pieces of the mouse and using the four Phillips #0 0.5mm screws, screw them back in place.

  23. Reapply the mouse skates.
