Vitamix 5200 Drive Socket Replacement

Steps:

1. Unplug the motor from its external power source.
2. Remove the blender jar from the motor base.

3. Lift up and remove the rubber jar pad surrounding the drive socket.

4. Align the Vitamix logo and arrow to the small hole at the base of the drive socket.

5. Using a 5/64th Allen wrench, place it at a 45-degree angle into the small hole and twist leftward to loosen the drive socket.
6. Only loosen to the point of freeing the socket. Loosen too much and you risk dropping the screw into the motor.

7. Remove the old drive socket.

8. Place the new drive socket on the square nut.
9. Realign the logo and arrow with the small hole at the sockets base.

10. Twist the Allen wrench rightward to tighten the new drive socket into place.
