Steps:

1. Turn the machine on normally.
2. Touch the "Menu" field, it is slightly darker. The settings menu for language, water hardness, etc. appears. But that's not the service menu yet.
3. Touch the first (espresso) and last (hot water) fields in the selection at the same time. The fields are dark.
4. Wait until the selection fields are brightly lit. The service menu appears.

5. You can take the selection one step further by touching the V-shaped area.
6. Start the respective menu item by touching the start/stop area
7. Plenty of items to select from and those are largely self-explanatory (in English).
8. The component test and the sensor test are of particular importance,
9. Other useful items are the error memory and the log files.
10. Press the power button to exit the service menu.
