Altair WBP-210 Mini-XLR socket Replacement

Description:

Steps:

1. Remove the nut on the mini-xlr connector.

2. Slide off rubber corner panels holding together the case.

3. If your device has additional screws holding the case together, remove those as well.
4. Not all devices have these screws.

5. Separate the two halves of the case using a suitable tool.
6. Pay attention to the ribbon cable connecting the two halves.
7. The top and bottom panels stay attached to the front of the case.

8. Disconnect the Auxiliary Board from the Main Board and put it aside.

9. Disconnect the battery connector.
10. Gently remove the strip of PCB holding the battery in place.

11. The Main Board is held in place by four PH screws.
12. After removing the screws, gently slide the Main Board out of the main case, together with the top and bottom plates.

13. Desolder the defective connector.
14. It is held in place by 4 pins, no additional pads.
15. Matching replacement part is Switchcraft TRAPC4MSX
16. Amphenol AG4MPCH and Kuilong YA137-2 might fit too.
17. Re-solder the new connector.

18. Reassemble the lower cover plate.
19. Pay attention to the location of the washer.
20. Tighten the nut on new connector.
