Description: Welcome to the Razer BlackWidow V4 Keyboard...
Steps:
- With key cap tweezers, align and grasp the edges of the keycap with force.
- Once you have a firm grasp, push in and up.
- After the keycap is off the keyboard from the center holder, simply pull up and place to the side.
- Make sure to remember the orientation in which the keyboard was facing.
- Use a spudger to realign the clip on the keyboard by simply pushing down on the side or center of the clip.
- Make sure the clip is tucked in the center and both ends of the clip are parallel to each other making sure there is a keyboard wall inside the clip.
- Use either a dust cleaner or Co2 compressor to spray away any debris that may be inside the holder.
- Make sure the clip does not fly away.
- With a caliper, measure the diameter of the fitment on the keyboard.
- The measurements can either be of the side wall or center clip.
- You can also use a ruler for this step.
- Measure the diameter of fitment on the keycap.
- They should be the same or off by .02+/- .
- If the fitment is bigger or smaller than .02+/- do not try and force it in. This will cause keyboard issues.
- You can also use a ruler for this step.
- Add a drop of keyboard cap lubricant to make sure that any friction or shear pressure is dispersed evenly throughout the lifespan of the keycap.
- Identify the orientation of which the keycap has to enter by noticing the clip holder on the keycap and the keyboard.
- If the keyboard cap is OEM from Razer you do not need to worry about this step. The keycap contains a safety spacer that will not allow you to place it out of orientation.
- With a slight force press down and hold.
- Once the keyboard has been clicked in successfully, enjoy your keyboard.
