Steps:

1. Use an opening pick or a sharp plastic card to release the adhesive around the front of the Zwitscherbox.

2. Remove the black paper cover by prying it up.

3. The circuit board is located behind the black paper cover. This cannot be easily removed.
4. The contacts to the battery compartment on the back of the Zwitscherbox are soldered to the circuit board.

5. Back of the circuit board after the contacts have been desoldered.
