How to Repair a Loose Armrest in a Camping Chair

Steps:

1. Locate the joint mechanism that connects the arm to the rest of the chair.
2. In this example, the arm of the chair used to be connected by a screw that has gone missing and now there are two holes left (red circles).

3. Use the other chair arm as an example to find the right screw size (yellow circle).
4. Using a screwdriver, remove the screw from the chair arm.
5. Set this screw aside to check the replacement part.

6. Compare the example screw with the spare parts and choose the piece that resembles it the most.
7. Once you have selected the replacement, test it to see if it fits in the right size.
8. For the testing, introduce the screw and then try pushing it outwards (red arrow).
9. Note: The right replacement should stay in place.

10. Once you have the right replacement, you should screw the piece in the right place.
11. Tip: Make sure the the screw is passing through the cloth part and metal structure of the chair.
12. After securing the new replacement, you can reassemble the other chair arm that was used as an example.
