Steps:
- First, make sure your phone is completely turned off to avoid any electrical issues.
- Pop out the SIM card tray using a paperclip or the tool that came with your phone. This step is simple but important.
- Gently heat the edges of the screen with a hairdryer. This softens the glue, making it easier to open.
- Attach a suction cup to the screen to lift it slightly. Then, use a plastic prying tool to carefully work your way around the edges. Be gentle to avoid breaking anything inside.
- Once you’ve got the screen lifted, find the battery connector and gently unplug it. This step ensures you don’t accidentally short-circuit anything.
- For a Cracked Screen: Disconnect the old screen and remove it. Connect the new screen’s cables and fit it into place.
- For a Battery Replacement: Remove the old battery (which might be a bit sticky) and put the new one in. Connect it properly.
- Carefully put the phone back together. Make sure everything clicks into place and reconnect any cables you unplugged.
- Turn your phone back on and check to see if everything’s working as it should. Test the screen and any other functions to make sure they’re functioning correctly.
- Pop the SIM card tray back into place once you’re sure the phone is working.
