How to Make a Hockey Stick Longer
ID: 178107
Description: As you grow and play hockey from a young age,...
Steps:
- Procure an extender that will fit your stick.
- Your stick should say if it is a junior or senior stick; get the corresponding extender.
- Remove the tape on the end of the stick.
- Remove the plug/stopper from the end of the stick using a spudger.
- Heat the glue on the extender with a hair dryer for approximately four minutes.
- The glue should look wet and sticky.
- Heat the end of the stick up where you will insert the extender for about five minutes.
- Insert the extender into the butt of the stick.
- You can flip the stick and use the ground to help get the extender in all the way since it is a snug fit.
- You can use the hair dryer as needed to heat the glue and the stick up more if you are having a hard time getting the extender in.
- Wipe the excess glue where the stick and extender join with a rag or napkin.
- Allow the glue to dry for about 10 minutes.
- You can also go onto the next step if the stick is cooled down to normal temperature.
- Tape the top of the stick or install grip tape (optional).
