Description: This guide shows the removal of the grinder in...
Steps:
- First, check which model you have: is the trim frame made of chrome-plated metal (image 1) or metallized plastic (image 2)? In the first case, use this guide; in the second case, use this guide. Then return here.
- The grinder is easily accessible from the top. It sits loosely, but is connected with two cables and one cable to the sensor.
- Do not change any settings.
- Carefully lift the grinder and pull off the two spade connectors from the motor. You must press in a small locking tab on each connector to do this.
- Be sure to note which cable is connected where, so that the motor does not run in reverse later.
- Once you have lifted the grinder, you will also see the cable for the sensor on the underside. Trace the cable to the main board. Very carefully disconnect the connector.
- Lift the grinder straight up and out. Feed the cables through the opening in the housing.
- The seal on the coffee grounds chute is only inserted. Be careful not to lose it.
- The damping spring is only inserted. Be careful not to lose it.
- When reassembling, make sure that the holes in the rubber mount around the motor are properly seated on the corresponding pins.
