Tchibo Laminator - Clearing a Paper Jam in the Laminating Unit
ID: 182265
Description: Hello!⏎ This guide shows you how to disassemble...
Steps:
- Unplug your laminator and wait for it to cool down!
- Place the laminator on a flat work surface.
- Gather your tools:
- Phillips screwdriver
- Spudger
- Opening tool(s)
- Flip the laminator over so that the back is facing up.
- Look for the four rubber feet.
- Carefully pry the rubber feet out with a spudger.
- Release the five screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
- The screws may have fused to the plastic due to the heat during lamination. Use a suitable Phillips screwdriver and enough pressure to avoid stripping the screws.
- Insert an opening tool of your choice (spudger, opening pick, or plastic card) into the notch marked in red and carefully pry the lower half of the housing away from the other.
- Remove the lower half of the housing completely once the two parts have been separated.
- Carefully pull the laminating unit out of the housing.
- Watch out for the cables! Even if they seem very sturdy, they could tear if subjected to too much tension.
- Carefully release the two Phillips screws.
- The screws are slightly shorter than the housing screws. Store the screws in two separate containers until the end of the repair so you do not mix them up!
- Now you can remove the motor.
