Steps:

  1. Sit in the passenger seat and open the glove box.
  2. Remove all contents to avoid anything falling out during the process.

  4. Press the release tabs on both sides of the glove box at the same time using both hands to disengage the stoppers.
  5. The glove box will drop down further, giving access to the filter housing behind it.

  7. Carefully slide or pull the glove box dampener—the small arm attached to the right side of the glove box—away from the glove box to disconnect it.

  9. Press the tabs on the sides of the plastic air filter cover to remove it.

  11. Pull the old cabin air filter straight out.
  12. Be careful—dust and debris may fall out.
  13. Take note of the airflow direction printed on the old filter to ensure correct installation of the new one.

  15. Slide the new filter into the housing with the airflow arrows pointing down.
  16. Make sure it's completely inserted and seated correctly.

  18. Replace the plastic filter cover.

  20. Push the glove box back up and snap the side stoppers back in.
  21. Reconnect the dampener arm on the right side.
  22. Put your items back in, close it up, and you’re done!
