ID: 206827
Description: This is just a start. You can edit this guide...
Steps:
- Access the oil pan at the bottom of the vehicles engine bay. It should be the first object you should see when you look at the bottom
- Unscrew the 5 bolts holding the oil pan in place using a wrench.
- DO NOT LOOSE THESE SCREWS!!! YOUR OIL PAN IS THE ONLY THING PROTECTING YOUR OIL FILTER FROM THE GROUND AND THE OIL FILTER!!!
- Things are already starting to get tight at this point, use your space and size wisely.
- Remove the oil pan to reveal the oil plug and oil filter. This is where you get the jug used to collect the old motor oil.
- Place jug directly under the oil plug.
- ALWAYS place the jug under the oil plug first, you don't want to make a huge mess, only a mess that won't take up time or no mess at all.
- Unscrew the oil plug with the socket wrench and attach the oil siphon. A long siphon is recommended to limit the mess.
- While the oil is draining, locate the oil filter.
- Use your oil filter socket and unscrew the oil filter.
