Guide 3: Nespresso EN 90.A Coffee Maker. In this model, a coffee clog in the nozzle is nearly impossible, as is water leakage.
ID: 212276
Description:
Steps:
- A machine that came to the Repair Café for a different problem; after solving that, the water leak was checked. Given a water leak problem in this 1st generation Nespresso machine, it is most likely that we have wear or a break in the rubber ring located inside the metal ring of the capsule press.
- This machine has a long nozzle, one of the first that Nespresso manufactured, with a single chute-shaped nozzle, a much more effective system than what they released later in the form of a double ramp.
- Example of the other system:
- Just remember that to remove the nozzle cover, it is done with a thin knife by gently prying on both sides, at 9:00 and 3:00.
- In this machine, the water leak was caused by a tear in the front rubber seal of the capsule press; this system was only used by first-generation Nespresso machines, later replaced by another system without a front rubber seal.
- I have tried looking for spare parts for this very old model without success; I suppose that after 20 years, no one will bother manufacturing them anymore.
