Steps:
- Unhook the powerhead from the main body with the grey latch on the underside and pull to detach it.
- Make sure you are not connected to a wall plug and that your power switch is off.
- Use Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove all eight screws on the underside of the powerhead.
- Carefully separate the top and bottom halves of the powerhead.
- The grey plastic hinges may come off of both halves of the powerhead - don't worry! They are easily reattached.
- Take note of the main components inside the powerhead: the brushroll (red), the rubber track (yellow), and the motor (blue).
- Clean any dust, hair, or other debris from both the brushroll and the internal casing of the powerhead.
- Reseat the brushroll into the notches it came out of.
- Wrap the rubber track both around the black gear teeth on the brushroll as well as the small metal gear of the motor.
- Connect the smaller end of each plastic hinge to the notches on either side of the holed half of the powerhead.
- Connect the other end of each hinge to each side of the brushroll.
- Lower the wheeled half of the powerhead into place and snap it shut.
- Screw all screws back into the underside of the powerhead.
- Reconnect the powerhead to the main body of the vacuum.
