Steps:

  1. Make sure the computer has been shut down before proceeding.
  2. Place the computer upside down on a flat surface.
  3. Remove ten 5mm screws with the Phillips #00 screwdriver.

  4. Pry up the latches using an opening pick.
  5. Remove the lower case to show the internal components of the computer.

  6. Disconnect the CMOS battery's wire from the motherboard.
  7. Pry the battery off of the motherboard.
  8. There is glue holding the battery down; be gentle with the removal process.
