Steps:

  1. Make sure the computer has been shut down before proceeding.
  2. Place the computer upside down on a flat surface.
  3. Remove ten 5mm screws with the Phillips #00 screwdriver.

  4. Pry up the latches using an opening pick.
  5. Remove the lower case to show the internal components of the computer.

  6. Disconnect the battery pack cable from the system board.
  7. Use your fingernails to pull the connector to unplug it. Do not pull the cable.
  8. Remove the four 5mm screws with the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
  9. Gently pry and remove the battery pack.

  10. Remove the four 5 mm screws using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.
  11. Gently pull the ribbon cable out using your fingers.
  12. Gently peel off the tape.
  13. Remove the trackpad.
