Steps:

  1. Use a JIS #000 screwdriver to remove nine 6.5 mm screws on the back cover.

  2. Use an opening tool to separate the keyboard from the back of the laptop.

  3. Turn the computer around so the screen faces up. Gently lift the keyboard from the back of the laptop.
  4. Push the three ZIF connector flaps back.
  5. Detach the three ribbon cables that connect the cover to the keyboard.

  6. Carefully peel back the protective tape covering the battery cable and mainboard connector.

  7. Use a pair to tweezers to gently disconnect the battery cable from the mainboard by pulling the connector straight out of its socket.
  8. Caution: Do not pull on the wires, as this may damage the connector.

  9. Carefully lift and remove the battery pack from the bottom assembly.
