Steps:
- Pull the trunk lever inside the car located near the bottom left of the driver's seat to open the trunk.
- This will grant you access to the trunk interior to start step 2.
- Take notice of where the brake light connection is.
- Find the connector, pinch both sides and pull apart to unplug the connector.
- Attach the 8mm socket to the ratchet and loosen each bolt by twisting the ratchet in a counterclockwise direction.
- Once all the nuts are removed from the bolts of the brake light, remove the old brake light with a small flathead screwdriver.
- When using a flathead screwdriver, be careful not to poke yourself.
- Clean off the remaining old seal.
- You can use wet wipes, paper towels, or any cleaning devices of your liking.
- Take the new brake light and insert the brake plug into the location of your old brake light.
- Use your ratchet wrench to screw the nuts onto the bolts of the new brake light.
- Connect the new brake light plug to the power connection.
- Check to ensure brake works.
