Steps:

  1. Pull the trunk lever inside the car located near the bottom left of the driver's seat to open the trunk.
  2. This will grant you access to the trunk interior to start step 2.

  4. Take notice of where the brake light connection is.

  6. Find the connector, pinch both sides and pull apart to unplug the connector.

  8. Attach the 8mm socket to the ratchet and loosen each bolt by twisting the ratchet in a counterclockwise direction.

  10. Once all the nuts are removed from the bolts of the brake light, remove the old brake light with a small flathead screwdriver.
  11. When using a flathead screwdriver, be careful not to poke yourself.

  13. Clean off the remaining old seal.
  14. You can use wet wipes, paper towels, or any cleaning devices of your liking.

  16. Take the new brake light and insert the brake plug into the location of your old brake light.

  18. Use your ratchet wrench to screw the nuts onto the bolts of the new brake light.

  20. Connect the new brake light plug to the power connection.

  22. Check to ensure brake works.
