Steps:

1. Power off the Chromebook completely. Disconnect the charger and remove any inserted SD cards or USB devices. Place the device on a nonconductive work surface.
2. Unscrew and remove the 10 Phillips screws securing the lower case:
3. Two M2 x 6 mm screws
4. Eight M2 x 5 mm screws
5. Insert an opening pick into the seam between the lower case and chassis, and pry around the entire perimeter until the lower case fully releases.
6. Remove the lower case.
