Steps:

  1. Unplug the stove or shut off the range breaker before accessing the door-lock motor, control board, or switches.

  3. Remove only the covers needed to reach the door-lock motor terminals and related wiring.
  4. Live AC voltage testing can shock you, so restore power only after the meter leads are secure.

  8. Identify the control-board relays that send power to the lock motor.
  9. Find the front door switch, which tells the stove whether the door is closed.
  10. Find the micro switch on the lock-motor cam assembly, which tells the control board whether the latch is locked or unlocked.
  11. Press Clean and Start to command the door-lock system.
  12. The control-board relays energize the lock motor.
  13. The motor turns and moves the actuator bar.
  14. The actuator bar slides the latch over to hook the oven door.

  54. Use the test results to narrow a will-not-lock complaint, self-clean failure, or F5 error code to one part of the system.
  55. Good motor voltage points away from the control-board relays and toward the motor, bar, latch, or micro switch.
  56. No motor voltage points toward the door switch, wiring, or control-board relay circuit.
  57. A door switch that does not show a closed door can stop the lock cycle from starting.
