Steps:

  1. Apply a thin layer of the anti-fray glue to both edges of the rip. Let it dry completely.

  3. Fold the edges of the fabric over to make a clean edge and hide any fraying.
  4. Crease the fold with your fingers.

  6. Cut the upholstery thread to a length appropriate for the size of your rip.
  7. The thread should match the color of the fabric as closely as possible.
  8. Thread the needle and tie a double knot at the end.

  10. Hold the two edges of the rip together
  11. Begin sewing ¾ of an inch from where the rip begins.
  12. You might want to use a pin to hold the edges together while you sew
