Steps:

  1. Loosen the seven cover screws. They will not come out.

  3. Use a spudger to pop loose the cover and slide it off.

  5. Only use plastic to remove battery connector
  6. Gently remove battery connector by pushing with the spudger in the direction of the arrow.
  7. Remove four screws holding battery in place and remove battery.

  9. The 4 perimeter screws also hold the tow audio speakers in place. And there is a 5th screw dead center of the battery. The battery cable is not easy to remove, nor is it easy to re-connect.
  10. Use your spudger to open the connector in the direction of the arrow. Carefully remove the ribbon cable
  11. These connectors are very delicate. Use care when removing cables.

  13. Loosen screws and pull fan up and out of the case.
  14. Be sure to apply heat sink paste when putting fan back on CPU
