Steps:

  1. Unscrew the five 0.31 inch T-9 screws on the back cover.
    2. Step image
  2. Slide the cover towards the back until it is no longer under the front cover.
    3. Step image
  3. Lift the cover up and off the device.
    4. Step image
  4. Locate the battery on the motherboard.
    5. Step image
  5. Using the spudger, wedge the metal clip off of the top surface of the battery.
    6. Step image
  6. Use your finger to push the battery sideways out of its holder.
