Resetting the Palm m105
ID: 6897
Description: The Palm m105 is a personal digital assistant...
Steps:
- To soft reset the device, use a paperclip to carefully press the reset button located on the back of the device. The exact location of the button can be seen in the picture.
- A soft reset means that it will usually not affect your personal data on your device, unless the batteries are low.
- After you press the button, the device will reboot as if you just powered on your device and it should clear up most common device problems.
- If your device is still not powering up or has a blank display, the next step will help you perform a hard reset of the device.
- A hard reset will erase all current data on the device. This should only be done if a soft reset has not solved your problem.
- A hard reset is done by simultaneously holding down the power button while also pressing the reset button on the back with a paper clip like you did for the soft reset. After a few seconds the Palm logo should appear, when it does, release the power button.
- If applicable, you can restore any data previously synchronized with your PC through the HotSync operation of the device.
